Welcome to my landscape photography world—where adventure, creativity, and learning come together in some of the most beautiful locations nature has to offer.

This website is designed for photographers of all levels who want to improve their skills and build confidence in the field. Through my photography workshops, private tours, and online training and tutorials, you’ll learn how to plan and capture powerful landscape images with purpose. We’ll focus on key techniques like reading light and weather, composing with intention, using the right camera settings in the moment, and creating polished final images through effective post-processing.

Based in Boone, North Carolina, I’ve spent decades exploring and photographing the Blue Ridge Mountains, and I’ve been guiding photographers for over 22 years. My goal is simple: to help you see the landscape differently and walk away with the tools to consistently create stronger images—no matter where or what you photograph.

No matter how you choose to learn—through a group workshop, private tour, or online training—you’ll find an experience built to help you grow as a photographer. My goal is to help you see the landscape with intention, understand light and conditions, improve your compositions, and develop the skills needed to consistently create images that are technically sound, with emotion, impact, and a beautiful story.
